hey everybody!! <333

Hello Everyone! August 1
Today 15 girls finished painting one house and the other 6 worked on another. Ellen, Kate, Chelsea, and Sarah french-braided everyone's hair. Miss Carolle and Mrs. Donnelly called us the "Braid Brigade for Peace." Ellen french-braided one of the AmeriCorps boy's hair! Tonight was eat-out night at Lagniappe (where we are staying) so we all went out for dinner. Mrs. Donnelly invited all of the AmeriCorps and Habitat people working with us and we had sooo much fun! Hey to Grace, V V, Bobby, Mary, and Will, and my Mom and Dad. I miss all of you! <3 tell everyone on our block i said "Hi!" Everyone here is having so much fun and we are all learning so much about the South, service, and the disaster that occurred. We met both families whose houses we are working on. It's great to talk to them about their experiences. We have met a lot of other volunteers and we are having a great time. Everyone keeps saying that they have never been this dirty and sweaty in their life!
Will, take care of your fish. V V, save some lives. Grace and Mom, good luck on your trip. Bobby, don't stay up to late. Mary, I hope that you don't have any bad dreams!! Hey Dad. I love you and I'll see you on Sunday.
Love,
Maggie <3

Dear Alex and Everyone,
What an experience! To be a part of this service, involved with so many and learning so much, must be extraordinary. Out for dinner last night? I guess you let Emeril have a night off huh?

P.S. I think we have new part time jobs at Home Depot for all the Prep Gang. Extreme Home Makeovers, watch out!

hi Maggie,

It was great to talk to you the other night. All is well here. Everyone misses you. Will's fish are having a tough time surviving . One fish bowl broke but EMT Bobby rescued the wiggly little beta and mistakenly put it in with another fish.. it is a combat zone. The fish could use some protective gear from gentex.

Love you Momzo

Hello ladies,
I just want to give a shout-out to all the girls, especially my wonderful Greek scholars Alex and Ellen, and my colleagues Mrs. Donnelly, Ms. Loyden, and Ms. Tyrrell. I can tell from the pictures just how hard you all are working and how much you've accomplished. Your service means a lot to the people there, and I hope it means a lot to you, because it really is an important part of your Jesuit education. I hope you're all having fun in Mississippi too! At Camp St. Andrew's, we've painted eleven buildings so far, cut down some tree branches, met some of the campers, and in our spare time we have waterballoon fights. Today we took a shot at archery (how do like that pun, Mrs. Donnelly?).

I hope that this trip fills you with the same sense of pride that we as teachers feel about you. Your service is important to others, and I hope that you continue to find ways to serve in the future. See you soon! Take care!

Yours Truly,
Mr. McGovern

Greetings from Lake Ariel, Ellen!
At the Brown's house with Laura, Lynn, Matt, and the Little Girl's Club. We love all the pictures and everyone is very proud of you! It's very hot here, but at least we can jump in the lake! Hope you are staying cool. We all miss you -- looking forward to having you back up here. Hello to all and many thanks to Mrs. Donnelly and all chaperones.
